The Story of The Hybrid Braai

For years we have heard it being said that "If only I had time, I would braai every night" and of course with gas available we can. For some however, the experience of wood or charcoal just can't be rivaled. Many of our modern lifestyles simply have not allowed the luxury of enjoying a wood braai on a regular basis. That is until the Hybrid Braai was born.

In 2014 Chad-O-Chef Lifestyle Products had been listening long and hard and decided to design and create a brand new product to capture the attention of all South Africans, and 2 years later introduced the very first Hybrid Braai. This was later awarded runner up in the SASDA awards for "producing an innovative and intricate multiple fuel solution for alternative braaiing, in a versatile and aesthetically pleasing product" in 2018.

For the first time in South African history, one braai has the ability to function with multiple fuels under one grid, such as: Gas, Wood, Charcoal & Smoker Chips. Proudly designed and Manufactured at the Chad-O-Chef Plant in Muldersdrift, Gauteng.

The gas burners (being positioned right below the ember drawer, where the wood or charcoal would be placed) assist in a speedy braai with all of the bushveld seasoning. No longer do we need to concern ourselves with waiting long periods of time before getting the perfect coals for cooking. It is as simple as loading the wood or charcoal and igniting the gas with a click of a button. In approximately 10-15 minutes you will be ready to start cooking your feast.
